Here is a combo family pack which has always given blockbusters.Akshay, Katrina, Anees Bazmee and Vipul Shah. Consider Namestay London(directed by Vipul), Welcome(directed by Anees)have been major hits at the box office. SIK is a movie which would make you laugh and go gagga from scene number 1. Most importantly this is one of those rare movies in Bollywood which featured Sardars in a well mannered fashion.
SIK ,starts of in Australia where you find Sonu Sood playing the role of a Don. Back in India Akshay Kumar(Happy Singh)is a fun loving guy who has a large heart. The story moves on in such a way that Happy Singh and Rangeela(Om Puri) goes to Australia to bring a change in his village counterparts who run a mafia.

Meanwhile there is a love angle with Katrina(Sonia) which infact picks up in the second half of the picture. The best part of the movie is that you get many of those punjabi one liners thrown at others by Akshay which brings out a fantabulous comedy timing. Music by Pritam is again in mood with the picture. Every song deserves credit. Title song and Jee Karda is top notch.

A small flaw that could have been rectified was that of the length and the climax of the movie. Javed Jaffery's change od attitiude in the climax makes you feel pretty ridiculous but thats not a huge problem cosidering the fact till then movie moves smoothly.

Akshay Kumar proves again he is at his best. Its high time for many to realise that Akshay is "the best" in Bollywood in comic timings. Akshay looks perfect as a sardar and dons his role with penache. Akshay deserves an award , considering that till August no movie has worth of an award. Need to wait and see for the next half of the year about the other movies releasing. Om Puri oozes with comic timing and plays an excellent friend of Akshay. Coming to Katrina , directors of film industry have understood the mantra that make her stand on the silver screen people will accept. Hands down all accept that
Katrina does not know acting but they love to wacth her. Her sex appeal , her smile , her figure drives every one crazy and what else do you expect from a Bollywood actress who is acting in a masala flick. Neha Dupia, Sonu Sood and other actors do justice to their roles and deserve full credit.

Sing is Kinng , is a wonderfull movie to watch , its a pleasent experience if you do not raise silly questions and authencity of scenes. Anees Bazmi has crafted his direction abilities pretty well. He can be considered as one of the bankable directors in the film industry.
Its a must watch , dont miss the first blockbuster of the year 2008.

Hancock

This was one of the most anticipated movie for this year , but sad to say that this is just a passable flick. Hancock would have been so better if the script would have been a bit stronger. But Hancock is really watchable for the sole reason Will Smith, he proves once again why he is rated as one of the bankable star in the Hollywood.

Movie is about a super hero named Hancock(Will Smith), who most of the time stays in a hangover state because of his drinking appetite. Though he comes out and saves the city from bad hooligans, he even creates a lot of economic loss. This nature of Hancock troubles all the city people and higher authorities.

(Jason Bateman)Ray Embrey gets a new life because of Hancock and from there the story moves ahead ; hancock becoming a close associate of Ray. Ray makes sure that Hancock brings in a change in his lifestyle by keeping in prison of habitation. Meanwhile Mary Embrey(Charlize Theron) plays wife of Ray and surprisingly has a long connection with Hancock. There is a surprise element with respect to the Mary. The scenes where you see Hancock and Mary makes a pleasent watch.

The dialogues are well written with a hint of or should I say only slang to attract the masses . The frames which consist of " Call me once again asshole" is really well architectured for the role of Hancock. Peter Berg does a failry good job, but his work should have been really easy since he had two great stars Will and Charlize. The drawback in the movie was the manner in which it becomes really perposterous the last half an hour or so ; the whole hospital episode.

Overall Will Smith pulls it of , had there not been Will , Hancock would have been a big dud. All the actors potray their characters well. Go on an afternoon this movie when you are in a good mood with a bunch of friends , you will love it . But Hnacock would have been so so so better if few chances were to be made.

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na

JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA is not a typical love story that you find from bollywood factory on daily basis. But this is not a movie which would remain in books of film making for the days to come . Its just an ordinary movie with a touch of youth which makes out the movie for the audience attraction.

The plot the movie is the weakest point in the movie. But the mediocre script is garnished with good acting performances by the lead actors and their company. The movie begins with the narration of few friends how Jai(Imran) and Aditi(Genelia) fell in love. First half of the movie is quite passable , with a flair of comedy here and there . The real movie starts when Jai falls flat for Meghana (Manjari) ... this whole love episode is wonderfully potrayed and is superbly presented the manners of Aditi feeling jealous of the incidents taking place.

As the movie sets off for the second half ,there starts the real nonsense. The script is so dragged that you feel vexed at a particular point. Aditi planning to marry a guy , Jai's break up with Meghana and again Jai haveing a fight , going to jail , the re-entering of the Khan brothers (Arbaz and Sohail) agitates many viewers. The climax too is pretty absurd and you would wish for better climax.

Naseeruddin Shah is terrific in the role , he essays fathers role of Jai with ease . But somewhere down the line the conditions of fighting , going to jail and riding a horese looks quite ridiculous . The group of friends -- Karan [as Rotlu], Alishka [as Bombs], Nirav [as Jiggy] and Sughanda [as Shaleen] -- also form the real backbone of the movie. They are fresh and energetic. Paresh Rawal chips into a small role and does so well that you will laugh out for sure. This kind of territory is nothing new to Paresh.

Though Abbas Tyrewala has done a fair job , but cannot be termed as a great director . But credit must be given for pulling out a weak script in a well mannered way. Nothing can be said about A.R. Rahmans music . Now he is one person in the industry who has always come out with new and innovative music , the only person in the industry who has shown the signs of consistency. Again he is at his best . Every song is different from one and other.
Imran Khan can be the next choclate boy hero in the industry and surely a good actor in making. Genelia's spontaneity brings out the characterisation of Aditi realy well.
On the whole just an average movie , take your girl friend she would love much more than you out there.

SARKAR RAJ

As soon as you enter into the movie theatre and watch the first frame of Sarkar Raj, you know it that RAM GOPAL VERMA is back and is sure to show out his classic signature style. To all those critics and people who wrote off this maverick director , take your word back because RGV proves again that he is Indias one of the finest director. You wonder , how come RGV make films like AAG, DARLING, GO etc
etc. We need to understand the fact that , movie making in India started changing becuase of RGV. For instance last year , we had CHAK DE directed by Shimit Amin who worked under RGV. Jhonny Gaddar directed by Raghavan who worked under RGV had some kind of indirect connection of movie making and we could witness RGV style.

Coming to Sarkar Raj , Ramu has weaved magic and by large this is his best work. Sarkar Raj is much much better and engrossing than its prequel Sarkar. Every frame is well shot, close angle camera work has been outstanding. Sarkar Raj deals with the ugly side of politics in Maharastra. Again we have Amitabh Bachchan (Subhash Nagare 'Sarkar')and Abhishek Bachchan (Shankar Nagare). The movie starts off with a project plan thats brought by Aishwarya Rai (Anita Rajan), power plant thats needs to be set off in few villages of Maharastra. Sarkar does not agree to the deal but , his son Shankar looks at the positive side of the project and goes a head. Meanwhile many problems arises and political twists take place.
Not that movie does not have any loopholes , the first half could have been much better and faster , but pre interval scene puts every one in shock there starts the real roller coaster ride into world of RGV cinema. The second half is simply hair raising stuff. It would be unfair on my part if I say out what really happens.
Amitabh Bachan has once again show his class act with his performance , a role which deserves award . Mr.Bachan must really feel lucky to get a role of this stature. Abhishek has done his part beautifully. I feel Mani Ratnam and RGV are two directors who have tapped the interior talent of Abhishek Bachan. Though Aishwarya , has nothing much really to do , except to stay quite in most of the scenes , she has given her best and you cant expect much from her. I really wished for a better actress like Madhuri or Kajol donning the role of Aishwarya in this movie because there is a real chance that actress may play a major role in the next sequel if made and if its the case , I am sure Aishwarya cant pull it off with brilliance , though she can make it good but difficult to be called best.
Govinda Govinda track again plays at the back ground and no differnce , you get the same intense feel as we saw out in the prequel Sarkar. Hats of to the music directors for providing with such wonderfull background score. The dark and hazy camera work is fantastic.
Most importantly the movie will make money , will be liked and appreciated because of the manner in which it has been directed and told to the viewers. Truly a winner RAM GOPAL VERMA , he must cherish this movie for days to come and most importantly he needs to make movies of this kind as we have seen in past.
Ramu has come up with an open climax , there is a real chance of one more sequel , with Chikoo entering the Sarkar arena.

Watch Sarkar Raj , its a masterpeice , its already June , half the year has gone by with mediocre movies and masala dramas. Sarkar Raj is a movie which can represent year 2008 for Blooywood as of now. No JODHA AKBAR, neither RACE nor JANNAT has come close enough to Sarkar Raj's story telling. Credit goes to RGV.
Do not miss Sarkar Raj ....

Jannat

Bhatts are always known for their story telling and music (ZEHER, MURDER, GANGSTER, AWARAPAN). Though they seem to knock the doors saying their movie is all about reality but fact is they have never presented full 100% with reality but the characters are always inspired. Jannat is no different.
Good music with good songs , wonderfull locales and a refreshingly new story with a love story in the backdrop makes Jannat a watchable fair. The real problem with Jannat is the screenplay and editing, at times you feel that movie is getting dragged a lot. There are few scenes which are really well shot and leaves with shell shocked but point is, its previous scene and the next coming scene makes even a good scene as a dull affair.
Story is about a Arjun played by Imran Hashmi,initially who gambles with the cricket mathes later he turns out to be a bookie who gets into acts of fixing players and matches . His love life is Zoya played by Sonal Chauhan who wants Arjun to lead a honest life. Imran Hasmi is real soul of the movie which makes the movie to have a constant pace. Debutant Sonal does not stand out in acting department but as all heroines do , she is one more feather in bollywood fraternity who can do skin show and off course love scenes on bed.
Jawed Sheikh is brilliant. This is his finest work so far. Samir Kochar as police inspector is excellent. Vishal Malhotra, plays friend of Imran has done a good job.
Jannat's real saviour is Mr.Pritam ,he once again proves his abilty to come out with good copied music. People raise question about the originality of Pritam's music, but they should understand the fact that copying music and making chartbusters is not that easy. Every single track is good in the movie .
Debutant director Kunal Deshmukh who already worked as an assitant director in tne Bhatt camp has done a fair job , though he could have done much much better , neverthless we can really look out for his forth coming movies.
First half of the movie is pretty slow and pre interval scene is pretty good and pace of the movie picks up in the second half once the story revolves in South Africa. Too much involvement of heroine and the love plot hampers the plot of the movie but we can surely give a try to Jannat.

RACE

First things first ... its a popcorn time pass movie which you see and forget once u leave your seats and yes there are usual elements of Abbas-Mustan .People who have seen Baazigar,Aitraaz and other stuff of A-M they are sure to guess the next actions thats gonna take place.It is sure to make huge business at most of the centers for the very fact that there are no other movies lined up for few days and Jodhaa Akbar getting slower day by day.
Race is fast slick and well garnished movie with all the right elements to portray. Its a movie about two brothers and huge sum of property .Saif and Akshay Khanna play the main protagonists . Nothing really special in their acting skills . Both look jaded in most of the scenes and off course people have seen this kind of stuff many a number of times.Anil Kapoor enters just enters during pre interval to investigate into a murder(watch out the movie to know who has got killed). Anil Kapoor though you cant digest him in these comic craper roles (even in welcome) but he is doing fair role.

Coming to actresses ... point blank . They really have nothing to do except to shake their booty ,show their cleavages and wear as much less clothes to attract the guys and they have done their best. Bipasha playing the roles of -ve and +ve ,playing love interest of Saif and Akshay , Katrina(every man wishes to have a secretary like her),plays the role of secretary.. will never know how to act but she will always be directors lucky charm because she has those looks by which even a Bad old man seeing her will crave to get into his 20s ,so guys will get into theatres to witness her body atleast if not her acting skills ,Sameera Reddy is playing a dump secretary of Anil and off course as usual she is dumb in acting also.
The only thing that kept me going in the movie was the music ,, again Pritam does his job to excellence no doubt he has copied the tunes ...but copying also is an art. Action director Alan Amin is superb in executing the action scenes but sadly theres no actor in movie who can match his thoughts .
Few may enjoy the climax scene in which there is racing of cars but again its a kiddish act atleast at the Bollywood level. Saif looks to ridiculous doing the action packed stunts and he needs to stop doing these nonsense stuff atleast after looking back at Salam Namesthay,wonderfully acted Omkara(Langda tyagi),Dil Cahata Hai ... come on Saif you deserve much better roles than action stunts. Lets leave this department to real action star Akshay Kumar.

Overall many twists ,few good ones and few bad ones . Good music sums up for Race. Since no movie out there you can give a try with bunch of friends.

Jodhaa Akbar

Elite team of Bollywood representing Ashutosh Gowrikar,A.R.Rahman,Javed Aktar and UTV production are back after a long hiatus post Swadesh. All that can be expected from this band is that "excellence".But does Jodhaa Akbar stand out like "Lagaan" and "Swadesh" is the real question ... It would be realy unfair to compare this movie with any other epic saga of the recent past . This is a bold film which is being tried out in Bollywood on a magnum opus budjet and sets.
If you get into the theatre thinking of past movies of Ashutosh then you are ought to get pretty dissappointed. Laagan and Swadesh were two master peice movies and Jodhaa Akbar is no where near to these two when you think about the plot and getting "locked to seat" theory. I am confident that most of the people will complain about the length of the movie. Its too long and really a pain to watch an epic saga for more than 3 hrs. The script is so weak that after a while you start cursing the film maker. First half of the movie is for 2 hrs and most of the part is quite boring until the pre interval scene.
The real life for the movie is HRITIK ROSHAN ,who has potrayed his role fabulously and some how makes you feel that no actor or his counter parts can come close in playing this role.He is the real captain of the movie.
Now no questions can be raised about the direction of Ashutosh. He has given his best. Direction is so good that you wish that movie should have been bit shorter with a strong script.

Story: Its a love story between Akbar[Hrithik] and Jodhaa[Aishwarya] .Jodhaa gets entangled to marry Akbar due to certain political issues regarding 16th century. Later as love and affection starts creeping in between Jodhaa and Akbar , a misunderstanding takes place in certain circumstances which is just the pre-interval scene. This is one of those few excellent scenes in the movie.
You just start feeling the movie might catch up with pace after this scene but again you become a victim of slow pace after the interval until the just before end scene. The climax scene where there is one on one fight is good something new of this sort in bollywood standards.
Hrithiks body language , urdu diction ,mannerisms is bang on target. This is Hrithiks finest performance as of now. A real treat for his fan followers . Aishwarya is coming out with good performances of late. Last year it was GURU and now we have Jodhaa Akbar. She looks great in carrying out the role of queen. Every actor has given their best in this really weak scripted movie .Not to forget Ila Arun who has done her best in playing a negative character which is finest of vamps you can think off in past year or so.
A.R.Rahman provides with good music once again its music which gels with the story.
Azeem-o-Shaan Shahenshah' and 'Jashn-e-Bahara' are the best tracks in the movie. Unlike his other epic movie Mangal Pandey ,, the background score is not upto the mark .

Saying all this I stand on my verdict that this is a well crafted good performance and excellent direction movie with shades of excellent scences in bits and parts here and there. Thats it nothing more to it,,this has not got the tendency to keep you locked for the entire 3hrs + period. Most part of the movie leaves you bored . This epic saga goes on and on and on and there s a limit to test the patience of a person. So if you have interst in history, have got lots of patience to sit for 3hrs+ in the movie theatre and if you are hard core fan Hrithik then go for it and give a chance to Jodhaa Akbar.

Overall this is a dull boring and most importantly its not a master peice as many thought of and off course does not stand up to expectations.

American Gangster

Ridley Scott weaves magic again and why not as we all expected this from him since he casted his favourite movie star Russel Crowe. Their combination have made wonders once again after Gladiator.What better way to enjoy a gripping gangsta movie that this one. This is one of the best movies that have emerged in recent past that i have been through. Its a shame ,shocking and mere disgrace to Hollywood community since neither of actors Denzel Washington nor Russell Crowe have been nominated in Oscars.
Movie is based on true story that took place in late 60s and 70s.Frank Lucas (Oscar winner Washington)becomes a famous drug dealer . In the streets of America he deals with purer drug and at much lesser price . Lucas becomes a dangerous corrupter and leads a royal life with immense power. He even brings in other membes of his family(cousins) into this drug business. Richie Roberts (Oscar winner Crowe) is a true cop who feels some problem hovering around the drug market. Richie Roberts makes out a commitee of his and starts digging into the market to know the man behind this corruption.
The most amazing thing in the movie is that both the lead actors do not come face to face until the climax scene where they speak to each other for just 10 minutes which really stands out. Complete credit should be given to director Ridley Scott who manages to makes the movie so enthralling and engaging from start to end. Denzel Washington is as usual at his best , he plays his role with such ease that see a real black drug dealer. But my man is Russel Crowe . Simply outstanding and superb. He once again proves himself that he is the best in playing true characters on screen . Russel gives out exactly what the role demands. I once again repeat that there should have been oscar nominees for the wonderfully potrayed roles .
Kindly do not miss this movie. This is a must watch and a treat to fans of Russel .

Taare Zameen Par

Who do think has done best (male)debut this year Ranbir Kapoor(Sawariyan),Neil Nitin(Jhonny Gadar)... hang on there is some one smaller in size to these two but has given equal magnitude of performance ,,, the star of Taare Zameen Par,,Darsheel Safary. Taare Zameen Par (TZP) is a must watch for every parent and of course every individual.This is a movie which comes once in a while at the Bollywood platform and what better way to end this year .
Aamirs home production are always special and truely front runners for oscar ceremony ,take Lagan or now TZP. It would be foolishness on the film federation if they do not conside TZP for next year Oscars as Indian entry. Hope we don see likes of Paheli and Eklavya... If you thought Aamir is very good actor ,think again and come to conclusion that he is even a better director. In Bollywood versatile multifacted symbolises Aamir Khan(actor ,singer,producer and now director). Aamir proves that he is truely a genious and has given wonderful start to his carrer in direction. TZP is clear cut example to showcase Bollywood at the global front ,,if it was Chak De few months back ,its TZP now.

TZP is a story of boy who emerges as a winner because of care and guidance shown towards him by an art teacher . Ishaan Awasthi [Darsheel Safary] is a young boy whose mind is filed with nature and always travels through dreamland. Far away from school academics ,he is naughty and special in his own way. On the other his brother is good at studies and a good tennis player. Ishaan loves only painting and hates his clases in school. Due to constant failing and of concern for his behaviour his father decides to join him in a boarding school.
There Ram Shankar Nikumbh [Aamir Khan] arrives and comes to know about the problem of Ishaan .He informs Ishaans parents about the dyslexia that Ishaan has . From there on Ram gives a remarkable speech in classroom and builds up the confidence level of Ishaan . Ram witnesses an artistic tallent in Ishaan. The climax of the movie is really special where you see Ishaan wining in a painting competation.

Every individuals performance in the movie shows the level of effort they have put in the movie. Ishaan's parents in the movie have done really well.. mother and son relationship is potrayed well. All the teachers have done justice to their roles. Nothing really is needed to say about Aamirs acting .. he is simply superb and once again has given a stunning performance. But true star of the movie is [Darsheel Safary],he is really a wonder kid and is truely special. He leaves an image which makes you feel that "no he no TZP" . He is my bet for future supersatr in Bollywood. Its surprising shocking to see such a young kid leaving such a huge impact on the audience. A viewer, if got a pure heart, will shed tears at least for a second.
Music by trio Shankar Ehsan and Loy is remarkable and special. All the songs are well picturised and graphics are also shown well. Every word penned down by Prasoon Joshi signifies with a meaning . But most of the credit must be given to Amol Gupte who has written such a realistic story for us.
Overall TZP is a must watch for every individual. Its a movie which might change the vision of parents towards their children. Undoubtedly One of the best bollywood picture that has come in recent past. This is a movie which makes yourself introspect and who knows may change your life.

Diwali day saw 2 big releases and lot was said about competation ... but hang on i say Christmas has better competation as both the movies released on 21st are doing well and are well made movies.
Its time ... Bollywood has found a new superstar whos is not from the 3 khans but its from Kumar's ..yep Akshay Kumar now truely in the elite list of superstar. Last Christmas we had Priyadarshan's "Bhagam Bhag" , which was come back movie for Govind which even had Akki in it. It was a hit and from then there was 4 more movies back to back for Akki . 5 movies in a year is really amazing and every single movie doing real good bussiness and all being major hits .
Welcome is out and out comedy commercial flick and this year comedy has done the trick in Bollywood . Take Partner , Heyy Babby , Dhamaal, Bheja Fry etc... Welcome has a wonderfull star cast to make you laugh and make sure u enter into mad mad world of laughter. Anes Bazmee is a story teller (master) and telling us(students)to come to watch the movie keeping our brains at our house. If u have tensions ,,u r welocme to Welcome movie.
Story : What better way to begin the movie with Dr.Ghungroo(Paresh Rawal),,watch out his head twisting activity now and then . He plays uncle to Rajiv(Akshay Kumar). Akshay starts loving Sanjana(Katrina Kaif) with the first look. But but but ther's where story belongs ,Sanjana is sister of the gangsters Uday Shetty(Nana Patekar), Majnu(Anil Kapoor) and RDX(Feroz Khan). Rajiv and Sanjana get ready to marry but at the same time he comes to know that his loved one is sister of gangsters ... and before this whole inceident complete mayhem takes place between Ghungroo(Pares Rawal) and between Majnu and Shetty. The pre interval scene is really worth watching. Some how the story moves(U need to watch before i reveal) and day arrives when Rajiv and Sanjana are out to get engaged,, this is where movie takes a U turn as the sexy bombshell Ishika (Mallika Sherawat) enters into the scene. Whole lot of confusion takes place and she says that shes married to Rajiv. But this a story created by Dr.Ghungroo.. so from here on they try to change the gangsters into good boys. Uday Shetty is made a false actor and in same way Majnu is made bakra lover boy .
Remarkable performance by Nana Patekar ,,he proves he is a veteran actor once again because he is not doing any serious stuff here and its rib tickling when he says "Control Uday Control". U need to watch him when he is made an actor . Even Anil Kapoor delivers the goods at right time and his timing is superb. Feroz Khan has nothing much to play.
Acting wise Mallika has done better than Katrina Kaif . Its good to watch Mallika after "Pyar ke side effects" .. she is atleast acting now rather than lying on bed with her actors and ya she can act and she has done well in Welcome. Katrina has nothing to act but guys out there watch out for her she is real glam doll of bollywood as of now ,, she is hot she sizzels in the movie .When watching the movie my friend said to me in my ears "Kyaa future maain hamey aisee patni milegee". Beauty at best but kindly dont look any acting stuff from her.
Now true star of the movie is Akshay ,, king of comedy again delivers and shows his acting prowess. Doing comedy is no more new thing for Akshay but he has matured in every movie and day by day . This year he should be rewarded better by the awards fraternity.
All the 4 music directors has given good stuff Sajid Wajid, Anand Raj Anand and Himesh. Few of the songs are good and Uncha lamba kadh stands out.
So overall this movie welcomes u all to enjoy Christmas and New year in a mafia style and sure shot hit . It will not be really surprising if Welcome does better business than Tare Zamme Par because after all if this has got a super star in it .

Saawariya

I am writing review for this movie after 1 month of its release because initially I did not have courage to watch this movie due to its initial talk.... but since its a Sanjay Bansali movie it deserves a review and of course a bad one .
Saawariya is a garish movie with lots of glitz and of course darkness in it . No one really understands what director is really trying to potray at the big screen .
So So much of hype post Diwali about this movie and of course Om Santhi Om and now we know OSO has emerged out as a winner though it was also a senseless(1st half saved it) entertainer .
From Saawariya there are things which can be sensed among the movie goers of our country
1)How much big a director you are ,,people really dont care ,,all they want is a good movie. OR
2)Even if you are a bad amatuer director ,,cast a super star u ll make huge buks and movie will be a block buster. (case OSO)
3)Beware all other directors and never dare to release a movie on the day when SRKs movie releases and if the movie is SRKs home production maintain atleast a delay in movie by 1 month minimum or u ll be perished .
4)Sometimes even a good director becomes really bad.

Now what can be said about Saawariya ,,, Ranbir Kapoor and music director Monty are the true winners ,new artists to look for in Bollywood and of course how can u forget the Cinematography by Ravi K.Chandran. Sanjay Bansali completely dissapoints every viewer. We have always know him as an director who has made movies with a difference and something creativity in it with simply stunning performances of his cast ,,take it Khamoshi, Hum Dil Chuke Sanam ,Black or Devdas . Awards always showered on this adroit director but this year he may expect only 1 or 2 , best new comer and for cinematography.

Story is very thin and takes place in 3 nights . It revolves around Gulab ji(Rani Mukherjii) and Ranbir Raj(Ranbir Kapoor). Ranbir sees Sakina(Sonam Kapoor) near a bridge and loses himself to her grace and starts loving her . But already Sakina is in wait of her love Imaan (Salman Khan). We can understand that Salman is fav actor of Sanjay Bansali but that does not mean he can be wasted by making him do these nonsense roles ,,fans must have been felt agitated watching him . So story moves on without any pace ,,but at times in patchy and in few shades there are few good scenes and of course 1st half is typically ok . Finally what happens ????? Ranbir emerges as a failure as Imaan returns and Sakina moves on with him . Director should have realised that Indian audiences cannot see their hero loosing out in love .
Music is very good and after many days u get to listen soothing ones. Ranbir has a choclate boy image and a sure shot click among girls .

So all that can be said is that we need good movies from Sanjay Bansali in near future ,with a good script and not only concentrating on the stylised sets but also on performance wise . Saawariya is a flop but may be a bit better than RGVs AAG.

To be honest its been long since we have really seen a very good Cowboy movie in recent past . Its a pleasure and absolute feast for people who like cowboy movies when they watch "3:10 to Yuma". Movie is such wonderfully made that it keeps u engaging from start to end .
What else can a director wish for in a movie and James Mangold (director) has got 2 multi talented actors Russell Crowe and Christian Bale . Its really surprising to watch Russel and makes u wonder how can he pull out his characters so well ..from Beautiful Mind to Cindrella man to American Gangster and most importantly there is no banality in his characters . Same goes for our very own Batman Mr.Christian Bale who has given stunning performances in Prestige Batman etc.

Story : The story revolves around 2 persons Dan Evans(Christian Bale) and Ben Wade (Russell Crowe). Ben Wade is a dangerous gunman and has a cruel gang whose motive is only looting . Ben Wade gets caught and some persons need to take him to town of contention ,where he is to be put in the 3:10 train to Yuma prison. To carry this whole act Evans gets ready for 200 $ and from there story moves on . Trust , friendship, loyality towards profession and other lively aspects are shown in this breath taking journey of cowboys . Climax of the movie is really shocking something which you dont expect Ben Wade takes place.

Movie might be a sure shot contender for Oscars atleast in few departments , firstly in ACTING , if not that then a true winner, music of the movie composed by Marco Beltrami . Background Music forms the pith of the movie .

Finally in short its a flawless movie with wonderfull acting traits displayed by 2 great actors . Go and watch it ,,dont miss it .

OM SANTHI OM

This was the most anticipated and higly awaited movie for all the SRK and cine going buffs . The question is,, does it deliver?? Does it stand to expectations?? Does young debutant Depika and young Shreyas work out with Srk ?? Answer is obvious "yes" but on certain conditions . Forget ur brains in ur house ,,dont bring out logic in the scenes that u see ,,dont cross question. When sensless movies like Partner ,Heyy Babby can do wonders dont u think this will do ?? After all we have got King in this picture.
Most importantly people who have lesser idea about bollywood and its period of 70s kindly dont even bother to have a glance at the 1st half. 2nd half is masala mix of and will attract masses.
This is clear pick of Karz movie and atleast the 2nd half of the movie. Movie begins with the era of 70s and this is what a real pleasure and is backbone of the movie.So Farah Khan brings out with ease the mannerisms of 70s and ur laughters get louder and louder till the pre interval scene. Srk plays the role of junior artist named Om and Depika plays the role of successful actress named Santhi Priya. Real surprise is Shreyas who plays Pappu friend of Om . Om falls in love with Santhi and story continues . Arjun Rampal is refreshing in never seen before role ,,he plays a producer named Mukesh and infact a complete negative shade to him . Kiron kher playing mother role excells which she has been doing so well in the past.

At times I felt really disheartened by the role of Srk especially watching him after his performance in CHAK DE ..but really those feelings will vanish out second after second.To be precise Srk has proved his prowess again ,,this year he has 3 major roles i.e Kabir Khan in Chak de,Om of 1st half and Om kapoor of 2nd half of the movie. Movie will fetch more than 100 crores and for this most of the credit goes to Srks magic.In 1st half hardworking junior artist and in the 2nd half reincarnated arrogant super star. He makes u perplexed by the variations he brings out in the movie. Depika is charming and is a star in making .

The only problem with the movie is its too much filmy in the 2nd half which will not be much appreciated by a certain genre who enjoy serious ,artistic movies that of like Swadesh ,Chak De ...but director Farah made it clear in the very begining thats its a fun movie and has made for all classes especially the masses .
Music by Vishal and Shekar is differnt and mix the shades of past and new pretty well . 31 stars song is picturised well and look out for good looking actors and actresses.
Sheer Bollywood has been shown at the big screen and dont expect to llok at recent bolly stuff.
I have not enjoyed OSO as i used to with other SRK films because its a senseless movie.

So overall OM SANTHI OM is masth jabardast masala flick and will make huge business in India and overseas ....and of course a treat to Srk fans and u r out to see Manmohan Desai's few shades in direction of Farah Khan.

JAB WE MET

This time Kareena and Shahid are back after their dull movies of past Fida and 36China Town. But hold on this time they have proved that they can act and can have a long stay in Bolly industry. They strike the right chord in every frame of the movie. Now if u have seen Socha Na Tha u will surely remember Imtiaz Ali for his craft in flawless direction and same impression is seen in the movie Jab We Met .
Romantic movies really got dried out past few days but suddenly u are sure to get refreshed by watching Shahid and Karena. Though they have been compared to SRK nad KAJOL in some scenes by few few critics all I can say is ridiculous ..they have done well but its too dissapointing to compare them to stalwart pair.

Story all starts up in a station where Geta played by Karena wants to reach Batinda ,,later she meets Aditya played by Shahid who has loser in life and helps him in train .But due to uncertainities Karena misses the train in another station. Later on its Aditya who needs to help her in reaching her to destiny .In this mean while a platform for love and romance starts emerging. Once reaching to destination all is done and over but there is when the real story starts and really overwhelming to watch the phases that take place.
1st half of the movie is more of comedy and is complete talkative Geta (Karena) show.Its really a treat to fans of Karena.Big hater of Karena also will start liking her in that wonderfull talkative character.

SPECIAL SCENE::
U need to watch the scene in the hotel where theres a conversation between Karena and hotel manager and i say u if u do not watch the movie atleast take a DVD and watch this scene because its one of the most misunderstood scene u can ever imagine and which i m sure will make u laugh and will stay in ur minds ....

2nd half becomes bit slow and this is where Shahid has got something to do but u rarely feel he has got anything because of Karena's impact of the 1st half.
Music by Pritam is excellent ,every song has been chart buster and now i wonder why in England this years best tracks are from this movie. Saying all that i felt some how climax should have been reduced a bit but u cant expect everything to go well in a romantic movie ,,but still director tries his level best in pulling the movie without any faults and we should hail his credentials.

Finally though "JAB WE MET" is not a "DDLJ" to look out for, but young boys and girls are sure to get attracted by the movie. Most importantly if u r guy like me take ur girlfriend to this movie and I m sure she will have a feel good factor after watching the movie or if thats not the case present ur girlfriend with the DVD on the eve of Valentine Day :)) :)) :)) :))

Tell when was the last time u really enjoyed a open secret thriller in Bollywood saga ,,i suppose atleast not in recent past. Anyways this is out to look for because its a chilling dark thriller which will make u say "OHH MY GOD" once u see the climax .
This movie is about 5 persons and the crores of deal they are into .In these 5 persons 1 man MR.VIKRAM alias JOHNNY is the con man and cheats the other 4 persons ,,seems like HOLYWOOD flick USUAL SUSPECTS forget it ,,in JOHNNY GADDAR in the fisrt 20 mins only u come to know who the cheat is but credit should go to director RAGHAVAN("Ek Hasina Thi" fame )for pulling out the open secret in such a wonderfull manner .VIKRAMs role is played by debutant "Neil Mukesh", he has got looks style and most importantly he knows how to act.Dont get surprised if this new boy looks like Hrithik in few frames.
Each and every member in the movie have come out with good performances .Dharmendra continues his flow that has this year from Apne,Metro..he is rock solid in the movie. Vinay pathak plays the role of Prakash and Zakhir Hussain plays Shardhul and both have been crafted preety well by the director.Rimi Sen has very little to play but does it well since it was a serious role.

The entire train sequence of 15 mins is superbly directed because no background score is given and no dialogues are there in that 15 mins and still its one of the best scenes in the movie. How can i forget to mention about the PARWANA style of BACHAN in the movie ,,u need to look for the movie rather than I revealing here.Music by Shankar Ehsan Loy is refreshing with touch of 70s and 80s as the background score.Title track is also good.

Johnny Gaddar's low publicity will not make aware to public about this excellent thriller.On the whole Johnny Gaddar is a must watch movie because story telling by Raghavan is awesome afterall he once worked under RAMU .Climax will keep u in shock for atleast 30mins and this is my open gamble with U . Enjoy Johnny

Right this is a YASH RAJ banner picture and this year its been coming after TARA RUM PUM(avg movie) && JHOOM BARABAR(a crap movie).. But this time the big time production house has brought back their old business brand none other than KING SHARUKH KHAN. They are coming after a long hiatus and this time they strike the right chord. This is a master stroke from SHARUKH ,with Hockey as the back drop.

To begin credit should go to SHIMIT AMIN(after all he worked under RAM GOPAL VERMA) who made a out and out reality check picture AAB TAK CHAPPAN. Now in this movie he shows what direction is all about without a lip sync song and heroine moving around trees.Screenplay is simply stunning .Coming to music point of view there are no real songs to look for except the Chak de title song but most importantly its the background score which will make ur body feel the impulse .

Plot :: this is a Yashraj banner movie but dont expect SRK doing sentimental scenes and romancing with beautiful babes. He plays an underdog person KABIR KHAN who comes back from ashes becomes the coach of INDIAN NATIONAL WOMEN HOCKEY team. Many allegations about him are raised after he looses the match against Pakistan but later after 7 years he is made the coach.
Now after watching this movie no person will raise questions on the acting skills of SRK,, its the best and can term it as better than SWADESH. Now SRK has come out of his general image playing a lover boy and has done a fab job playing the role of KABIR KHAN. In the movie he rarely laughs and every time he is on screen he seems to be a real coach of a team ,, you r ought to say "What a performance",,even the biggest hater of SRK will be impressed. You should see the scene in which he is disgraced by all the people in his area and manner in which he leaves that area along with his mother, you rarely get to see these kinds of scene in Bollywood. The "Sattar minute" scene is 1 more highlight.
Another life to movie is the team of 16 girls and look for these girls, the players in the team

3. Bindya nair
4. Punjabi kuddi
5. Balbir kaur
and yaa remaining too. Every player looks like a true hockey player and the picturisation of Hockey scenes have been wonderfully shot . The pre interval scene , climax scene and the pass of ball between Komal and Priety Sabrawal in the last min ,will make you feel that ur price of ticket is too less for these high standard scenes . You will feel as if u r witnessing hockey matches in some sports channel.
Said all this its KABIR KHAN all the way ,,u ll accept and lemme be frank(though i m a big fan of SRK) if no SRK in the movie the movie would have become dull and boring. I m sure his search for the National award will be over after this high energised awesome performance.

Its highly recommended movie and will keep u locked to ur seat belts through the entire movie. Its a must watch movie and most importantly watch it for direction of SHIMIT and acting of SRK. By the way if people dont like the movie it must be so because the KING SRK has not done a RAHUL or RAJ.
CHAK DE INDIA is a true winner and shows now how Indian cinema is changing and how its sure to represent globally.

Yes .....from godfather to spidey ... part3 's never supersceded part1 but this one does.

This is an action movie and paul greengas created more tension with a cellphone than wat thye have created in diehard 4 with f-35 and wat they have created in transformers which jumbo robots.

and YES this movie starts with a high tension scene and ends as the same

This is a brainy action thriller which ups the ante from previous bourne movies and dont gives u a gap to breathe.Its an exhilerating ride from start to finish.

Departmentwise : Jason bourne is matt damom and mattdamon is jason boure. He made tat role as a signature for himself as if he the real life alter ego of bourne. New comers and the return cast also did a good job.Editing is top notch .probably i can go this far ...tat this is the best editing work i have ever seen in an action movie.Cinematography is really awesome which captures the mood of different locations.Finally directoin, probably paul greengas will end as top notch action director who can make action movies with brains ,which is rare these days. He entered the top bracket of ation directors with this movie

Plot: (No spoilers)

The story starts from moscow,where it is left in supremacy. bourne sets off to london to meet a journalist who runs a story about threadstone so that he can know his past. Meanwhile CIA cheif opearation officer for Blackbair(Threadstone upgrade) traces every moment of the journalist so that to know his source. Here starts an exhilerating cat and mouse chase in waterloo station. The tension that builds up there is incomparable to any scene in new action movies. The journalist will be killed but bourne finds the source . He sets off to find his identity and runs all over the world and finally ends up in Newyork where he knows his true identity.

Yep David Dhawan does it once again . This time DD has come out again with his trump card Chi Chi i meant Govinda. We have seen so many movies in this combination which has made us laugh like hell. This time also its same .Salman ,,what can be said about him ,, he is a super star and he has proved again that Y he is still in the KHAN race.

Patner is a movie with not so strong story and script but with hillarious situations performed extraordinarily well by SALLU and GOVINDA. Salman come up again with the role of PREM as he has been doing from his 1st hit .He plays LOVE GURU who makes a profession to help people in getting their life partners.On the other side we have evergreen comedy king Govinda playing the role of BHASKHAR,, to be frank Gov never needed a comebak to get into boots of comedy but his choice of movies past few years has been really horrible ,, so it can said and stated strongly that Gov is bang with a bang and i m sure he is out to stay in Bollywood with comic timing prowess.How Govinda gets the love of Katrina with help of love guru and how love guru tries hard to win heart of Lara Dutta is the basic plot.

All said u need to remember 1 thing its a David Dhavan movie, so u need to put ur brains in ur house and go to the theater. Its a comedy film where u r sure to laugh through out the movie and dont arise Qs like "Does Bhaskar needs to ask Prem about 1st night with his wife ?? " && many more Qs.If u r in mental tension go to Partner , u ll come out laughing and will make u free for that atleast 3 hrs .

Combination of David+Salman+Govinda makes the movie so brilliant. Songs are also well composed . I felt Maria song should have been cut down.

But hang on .....1st half of the movie is so excellent that u expect the same from the 2nd half also but ,,tempo of the movie becomes slow after the interval . Unnecessary scenes of Arti Chabria should have been cut down and few others also .This year we have rarely seen a movie which is flawless,,so cant blame much for this comic ride PARTNER.

So dont miss this ,, watch it GOVINDA and SALMAN.....these 2 guys simply rock and when u watch them u too will say the same . Rib tickling comedy and a laughter ride.
Plss dont start asking logic and other reality things after watching the movie , u ll love it.

Harry Potter 5,, ORDER OF PHOENIX

Finally in this episode we get to see HARRY and his warriors rebelling against the evil.The plot of the movie is so bizzare that its perfect for book reading rather than watching on a big screen. Director David Yeats tried his level best to present the story.Saying all that the movie does not really come out as good as part 4 of the Potter series.

PLOT: Movie does not mess up with unnecessary things , it directly enters into the story from scene 1.Harry is troubled by dark lord Voldermort in his dreams. As the movie moves on Harry is put up with illegal charges on his name and lands in a position where he might be expelled from the Hogwarts. The school is implemented with strict rules which the student never witnessed before.Dolores Jane Umbridge(Imelda Staunton) brings in these stringent conditions. No one believes in the words of Potter who tries to convey them that Voldemort is back . Later u ll witness Potter prepares his team for war and the manner in which Voldermort arrives.
In this whole fight Sirius Black is killed.Dont forget ,,,, we get to watch the first kiss of Potter...hmmmmm

Professor Dolores Jane Umbridge is played by Imelda Staunton and she might be considered for oscars . She is seen as a martinet and has wonderfull screen presence for playing out the negative shades.The best scene in the movie is at a point where WHESLEYs rebel against the rules of the school when all the students are into an examination.Its simply a superb shot where u get to see full of fire works.

Climax is a bit of dissapointed because much of action is between Voldemort and Dumbelldore.Harry is not made the real hero in the climax as we have seen the older movies,, but the story cannot me meddled ,,afterall its taken from the best seller.

Alright finally I dont think children will enjoy if they get into the theaters thinking of the past episodes ,but this is much darker movie and at times terrifying.
Story is weak but well presented on the reel and credit goes to director Yeats.I feel even a hard core Potter fan might be bit dissapointed. Not to forget DANIEL RADCLIFF who is turning into an fab actor.So watch it for him and witness an actor in him .

DIE HARD 4 (Live free or Die hard)

We have always known BRUCE WILLIS as a macho man of Hollywood . An actor who has established himself as a brand of DIE HARD movies. Its been long since i have seen Bruce on a big screen,, last time i saw him in Charlies Angels in a small cameo for few minutes playing the role of William Rose Bailey. Before that he surprised the Hollywood family in the sci fi movie Sixth Sense directed by Indian born Manoj Night Shyamalam. In this he played the role of Dr.Malcom Crowe,, who acts as an interpreter and helper to a child who sees dead people speaking .This movie came just after Armagaddon , and shocked everyone with his performance.

Story:
     So now speaking of Die Hard 4 , its just an action packed movie with so many canard interpretations of computer security and technology. Story gets messed up because too much of computer gadgets were shown and too much is shown on screen which gets difficult to be understood by a ordinary person who is not from Computer area
(luckily i m from CS back ground).
Timothy Olyphant plays a hacker(Thomas Gabriel) or infact can be said as a person who controls all the hackers , he gets the control of NATIONAL DATA ADMINSTRATION , and accquires all the private information of the US government. For a moment u get a feeling of impossible taking place and matter of absurdity hovering around u .
Its upto John to stop the hacking scenario and to get the computer network into orginal condition .
Justin Long must be appreciated for his role as a computer geek (Matt Farrell) and by nature a hacker .He teams up with John to stop this catastrope .Saying all these i still dont mean that its a good movie .

   There are few scenes where u r dragged on and u just start to feel bored then a good action packed scene is brought before u and doing so director Len Wiseman must be applauded for doing few wise things at right time .There are few lighter moments in the movie which can tickel ur bones , one of them is when Justin Long speaks to a rescue center for getting started a car. 1st part of the movie goes on smoothly which can entertain u but 2nd half has a very weak screenplay and story line up . So movies flow gets hampered because of 2nd half .The whole episode of Johns daughter getting kidnapped by Gabriel was a bit of nonsense and i felt was just to drag the movie a head and pull ur time out.

Acting wise :
                  Justin Long did a fair job and did full justice to his role , and though not presented in action sequences he came out with good role.Bruce Willis did what he does best in all his movies. This is nothing new to us .All the action scenes were well picturised and Bruce came out well though he is 52 yrs of age .

   So overall its an average movie , which can be seen once . But when u get into the theater just dont think about the story , its an entertainment movie with lots of action stuffs.Though the screeplay and story is thin it will keep u locked to ur seats for 1st half but u get temepered seeing the 2nd half of the movie .So better watch the movie with ur friends on a weekend rather than with ur girl friend , u will not get bored. There are lots of flaws,, but what can be done there are no other good holly movies around to watch .

AWARAPAN

Bhatt camp proves again after giving us some stunning movies like ZEHER,GANGSTER,ZAKHM,WHO LAMHE,KALYUG and now AWARAPAN.
Story spks abt the movie,,wen stry is good there is no need of huge cast and this movie is surely a rise of a star .Credit goes to director MOHIT SURI.

Story::
To begin with , AWARAPAN is a movie abt an atheist(SHIVAM) played by IMRAN HASMI who starts believing in GOD becos of his girl friend played by Shreya.Their love plot is very short but is well picturised and this forms the pith of the movie .
Later movie deals about the flesh trade and how the other heroine(Mrinalini) is a victim of it .I don wanna go deep into stry better u just watch the movie.

Rise of IMRAN ::
Now this movie is clear scenario of changing bolywood with good script .Imran Hashmi sheds his image of serial kisser .His silence speaks in this movie .There are hardly any dialogues in the movie for imran .Most of the movie he stays silent and proves wid his acting .During the dialogue delivery (tears come out of his eyes) he cries which are real signs of matured actor .Shreya has nothing much to play in the movie is looking stunning and does justice for her 10 mins role .Special mention must be given for PURAB KOHLI who does a fab job as an drug addict.

EXCELLENT MUSIC::
This years best music is sure to be that of AWARAPAN as of now .Every song is well picturised in scenic locations of RAJASTHAN , HONK KONG ,PAKISTAN.
Credit goes to PRITAM for proving his again his credentials .Back ground score is simply stunning .
Its a short 2 hrs movie which will enthrall u from the start ,,from very well shot entry of IMRAN HASMI.

So AWARAPAN is a complete package of a good movie which again proves the prowess of BHATT+IMRAN combination and most importantly no kissing for the first time in 5 yrs of bhatt camp movies. Applause to director Mohit Suri.

So my rating 4/5.

LIFE in a METRO is good...

UTV has been in news for past 1 yr.Firtsly credit went to them for making history by bringing out message oriented movie like RANG DE BASANTI .Recently they have signed PRIYANKA CHOPRA for a 3 movie deal .Now they have come out with a wonderfull movie METRO.
Anurag Basu must be given full credit for making a movie of that stature with not not so famous but good actors.After Gangster its again party time for Anurag.

PLOT::
The movie deals about few people and how its all day for most of the people living in METRO.How a couple are facing with troubled times played by SHILPA Shetty and KK Menon.We have Sharman Joshi who wants to come up in life and always aims high ,,and to aquire these he can go to any extent.The key episode of his flat is funny and a superb concept of the movie (U need to watch this). Shiney Ahujaa is a stage performer and fells in love with Shilpa Shetty and by the way she too start loving him .Sharman loves Kangnaa ,, but Kangnaa to satisy her lust involves her self into sex with KK husband of Shilpa.Not to forget the plot of old people ,, its between GARAM Dharam and Nafisaa Ali , they come out as a surprise.

BEST PART:
Amazing part of the movie is between Konkana Sen and Imran khan .I dont want to reveal a single bit of this part because u need to watch their episode and how these two mature actors deliver that stunning performances .
U need to watch the climax , then only u ll get to know who will meet finally whom and the manner in which this takes place.

Music is ultimatley the life of the music because it goes with the movie ,,now again its Pritam at his best , giving continous hits .Combination of Pritam and Anurag after Gangster creates wonders again.

So overall its worth watching .A movie for matured minds and a speacial class of people .I doubt whtr all people will like this movie and if u r leading a busy life in a busy city its a must watch movie.Dont miss it .

Pirates 3 : At the WORLDS END

"This day will always be remembered as the day u almost caught CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW"... this very statement was present in part 1 and 2 ,, and was missing in part 3 .
So part 3 is some what a bit dissapointing , but neverthless its entertaining and far better than Spiderman 3.

CAST and CREW being flawless:

As usual JHONNY DEPP playing captain JACK stands out in acting department. Watch out for his entrance.He is at his best and does 100% justice to his role and this again might be nominated for the OSCARS. Orlando plays Will turner and Keiraa knitley plays Elizibeth swann do a fair job and these characters are nothing new to us .
Music by Hans Zimmer is flawless and still has same energy as the previous versions .
Though the story is bit thin Director Gore Verbinski makes sure that its presented in a perfect and well crafted manner .

STORY:

Its all about bringing an end to DAVY JONES and how this is done with help of the pirates crew.In the middle key part is about Calyspo infact love life of Davy Jones.Will Turner is killed at the climax part ,, but just before his death the marriage cermony of his and Elizibeth on the ship under the prayers of Babossa is a really a worth watch .
I doubt abt part 4 of this series but it has ended on a scenario which says "FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH".It would be awesome if we again get a chance to watch Jhonny playing JACK.

So saying all this I still stand on my verdict where i said story is weak and may be it could have been better.But u can give a go because this is only Hollywood movie in this summer movie which gives u something of so called entertainment.Keep ur fingers crossed and hope that part 4 would be releasing in a couple of years .Watch this for JACK SPARROW , u ll love it ..

JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM::::

WORST, HORRIBLE,TORTURE,UNBEARABLE............
I m dissapointed for 2 main reasons 1) MOVIE SUCKS completely from start to end.
2) No CHAK DE INDIA trailer at the begining of the movie, its been shown all over INDIA and not in vizag....

Anyways coming to movie JHOOM .. . Plss my sincere advice is dont go to watch the movie.Bad direction, bad acting, bad screen play all is bad.
YASH RAJ PRODUCTIONS will be shut down if they make these kind of horrible movies .They are slowly degrading in their quality of making BOLLYWOOD movies.This yr they made KABUL EXPRESS , which did not run , TARA RUM PUM was a average movie and JHOOM will be a big flop for this big banner production house.
Only one song is good and this titile track comes in 5 shades in the whole movie .

Y BACHAN ?????
i still don understand wat was bachan doing in movie , many get a doubt that is he a begger who wants some bucks ,,since he comes at the start of movie and with that single song comes in between again and again till the climax.(A song with installment.)

Abhishek(RIKKI THUKRAL) is hampered with bad script and direction .Bobby Deol has nothing to do and plays a SICK CHARACTER .

Its mere waste to say anything abt LARA DUTTA(Anaida) , only skin show from her.

Although myself being a big big fan of PRETTY PREITY ZINTA , have to say that this is undoubtadely worst performance of hers as of date .But she looks hot in the final song with a golden colored dress,,.. (guys hold on thats also just 4 to 5 mins thats it )
DIRECTOR shd be blamed for this 2 hrs 30 mins torture.

Lot was said abt music , but its mediocre and back ground score was bull shit .Never expected this kind of music from SHANKAR EHSAN LOY.
When u r watching the movie , u will surely say "WAT THE f**k, am i seeing".This movie does not stand to the hype and a big dissapointment for preity and abhishek fans .
I believe may get its collection since its made under YASH RAJ BANNER , but i pray that this shd not get even the half the money.

ShootOut ....

I shd say a very good commercial movie as of now in yr 2007 (yep betta than TARA RUM PUM ).
The basic USP of the movie is that it has been directly taken from from a real incident that
that took place in MUMBAI , the shootout in mumbai in early 90s .

I donno whether the real shhoting was justified in the movie but upto some extent it was
bang on target.Sanjay Dutt played the real life character (ATS CHIEF) KHAN. He a done a
awesome performance.

Vivek Oberio comes out as a surprise . U will be reminded of RAM GOPAL VERMAs company
after watching his performance .He stands out along with SANJAY in the movie.He plays the
role of gangster MAYA DOLA .As of now he ll be a contentdor for a award in -ve character

There is only 1 scene in which the gangsters meet the police men into a conversation and it
is the best scenein the movie. Conversation between SANJAY DUTT and VIVEK is simply superb.

Sunil Shetty does justice to his role and his tappori language suits him best and he does
these pretty well .Tushar , i felt was a wrong choice but rest all delivered well upto
expectations .

Heroines(DIA, NEHA, AARTI CHABRIA) nothing much to say since they don have much to play .

Added advantage to gripping stry is the background score , as always producer SANJAY GUPTA
made sure background is good as in KANTEE, MUSAFHIR and ZINDA .

So overall it can be said that SHOOTOUT is a first major hit ,hmmmm may be first superhit
of 2007.Its a paisaa wasool movie and sure to attract the masses and the young specially
boys who like action movies .

BHEJA FRY

This was a movie which was made with just 50 laks and it has went on to make more than 7 crores .
Its a short 1hr 45 mins movie which will make u laugh from the very begining.
Almost all actors have emerged from stage shows and have exhibited their wonderfull traits.
Movie has been set only in a single night .More over the movie deals with break ups , freindship and most importantly as shown in the movie IDIOTS .

U r sure to laugh

SPIDER MAN who ate the brains of people.........
It was said by ppl before release of this movie "MOST EAGERLY WAITED MOVIE OF THE YEAR" and this wat ppl said wen they were watching the movie "I M EAGERLY WAITING TO THE MOVIE TO GET OVER".
Watever there was eagerness for some reason or the other .

SURPRISE FACTOR :
2 Things really surprise me , 1st ly how can a good director can make such a horrible movie .
Secondly i m surprised to hear to that some ppl liked the movie(GOD i really donno y they liked the movie).

MOVIE stinks and suksss for many reasons .Weak story with bizzare characters with changing attitudes.
Sand man made everyone sick.

LOVE PLOT : wats happening to MARY JEANE , i can really term her as a good PROSTITUTE becos in SPIDEY 1 she like HARRY Osborn , in Spidey 2 she fells in love with other felow some captain and with SPIDEY .In 3rd again loves spidey and she kisses HARRY.Wats this complexity and to make worse SPIDEY kisses some other gal .

Horrible screenplay with not so great graphics .The greatest draw back for the movie was SPIDERMAN 2 roked and everyone loved it for its wonderfully potrayal of characters and action scenes .Spiderman 3 is no where close to previous versions .

It can be really said that its most horrible movie of the yr 2007 , plss dont watch this movie and if u watch also go with minimum of 10 friends so that u time gets passed (as in my case).

I will rate 3/10 only for 1 thing that is for creating some buzz and hype .

If this goes on like this plsssss stop making spiderman movies my dear director SAM RAIMI .

Not so smooth TARA RUM PUM

Tara rum pum
Movie is completely a family entertainer .
First its a set bak for director SIDHART after making a movie like SALAM NAMESTAY .
1st half is very gud where u get to laugh .
2 nd half is a bit senti , which is sure to attract the families .
Its completely a multiplex movie .

Car Races are pictuirised well .Background score is not that great .
Javed Jaffrey stands out in acting wise .Saif as usual at his best .

Overall 3/5.
Can watch once .

GURU bhaii aiyaa chay , dhoom laya chay

A person who wants to do MBA and who is dreaming big shd chk out this movie .

1st thing when i say abt GURU is the background score of A.R.RAHMAN and he proved once again hesthe GURU in the industry with his composures.I say no GURU without RAHMAN.
Direction of MANI RATNAM is awesome and is sure to get applauds something which is not new for him and his movies.
Abhishek Bachan gives a shocking performance and will be remembered in the BOLLYWOOD for this role in the industry for yrs to come .I doubt whether AB will again get a role of this huge stature.
Surprise package was infact ASH , after DEVDAS i felt ASH was a big shit in the industry making no sense in the media, u see like DHOOM 2 ,UMRAO JAAN etc bloody movies .But she proved wrong in the GURU.Her silence speaks in the movie and has been potryed very well in the movie .

Finally wat i can say abt GURU is its a movie for "LITERATES".I dont think everyone will like the movie but any one wants to know wat is life before being suceess and afetr being succeess its a must watch for them .
I would rate 4/5 for the movie
